Just a little excited to go to Disneyland!!

Christmas!!!

It was the twins first Christmas.  Since Evan and I got married I so badly wanted to have children on Christmas they just make the holiday seasons so much more worth it. It's been everything I ever dreamed of. They woke up at about 7 on Christmas morning. They had no idea what was going on. But they loved opening everything. It seems like they were a little over whelmed. They did get a lot for Christmas but I've just been waiting for this Christmas forever. Then we had a really yummy breakfast and got ready for church. I loved having Christmas on a Sunday it was nice to go to church and feel the sprit even if it was only an hour.  Then like we always do on Christmas we went from house to house to see what santa brought for everyone. Then we finally got home and the twins actually got to play with their toys. They just went from toy to toy to see what everything was. It was pretty cute. I'm already excited for next year :)

Halloween

I know I'm a whole Holiday late but life's been crazy. Twins and I have been out of town pretty much since Halloween. It feels good to be home and get the twins back to their normal life. Halloween was great they were the princess and the frog. They really had no idea what was going on but as always they were really good.
We went to my sister house first and my sweet niece Brynlee took them trick or treating. They were so cute all dressed up and ready. I think Brynlee had more fun then I did with them trick or treating. Then we went to my brothers to have chili and bread sticks. Brenda my sister-in-law makes this ever year and like always it was really good.

9 months

I can't believe the twins are 9 months old (almost 10 months.) I wanted to wait until I went to their doctors appointment before I wrote anything down about there 9 month. A lot has changed since I last posted.

• First Bentley is setting up.
• Chloe is crawling and is really good at it. Bentley is army crawling and getting on his hands and knees and rocking. He'll be crawling soon. 
• Chloe can go from crawling to setting up, it's pretty cute. Bentley hasn't figured it out just yet. But I've been watching him trying to figure it out. (he now can to it but only every once in a while)
• Bentley is really good at holding his bottle and holds it so I can feed Chloe. They are on a lot of solids  they love yogurt melts, crackers, fishes, all fruits and most veggies. Chloe is ready for just a solid diet but Bentley is just not there yet. It's hard to feed them different diets so for right now they are both still eating baby food. Chloe still doesn't hold her bottle she know how but WELL NOT hold it. 
• Chloe is pulling herself up on everything, and can stand on her own. I'm sure she'll be walking before she is a year.
• Bentley gets huggy and lovey when his really tried and also giggly. I love it. 
• Chloe is full of personality, she is always giving me cheesers, talking to her dolls, and crying as hard as she can when anything happens she doesn't like. 
• They both have bottom teeth and Bentley is getting his top 4 teeth. 
• Chloe weighs 18 lb 6 oz and 28' tall. she is in the 30% for her age I thought she was bigger then that but I guess I was wrong. 
• Bentley weighs 20lb and 28' tall. He is also in the 30% for his age. I also thought he was bigger I guess not. 
• Bentley loves his daddy he lights up every time he's around. Chloe is a mommy's girl, which bugs Evan cuz he wants her to be a daddy's girl. He even tries to say she is. 
• Chloe can climb stairs so now I can't leave her down stairs alone. She'll follow me up if I leave her she has made it all the way up to the top.
•  They can feed themselves just like crackers and yogurt melts but it helps when I'm trying to make them food.
• Chloe cries every time she sees her grandma Roxie, I think she remembers when grandma babysat. I fell bad cuz grandma doesn't get to see her a lot and she cries for most of the visit. I know your thinking she cries cuz she doesn't see her grandma but she lets everyone hold her even people she doesn't know.
• They both love musicals, my mom and I went to California to see my nieces in a play/musical and they loved it and watched the whole thing. Bentley even tried to sing alone
• Bentley can do milk in sign language it so cute to watch his little hands sign.
• They both love the bathroom, I did not understand that at all I but I find then in there all the time. I guess all babies love the bathroom.
• Chloe loves to climb over things sometimes pillows sometime my legs but most of the time her brother. 

They are both pretty good babies and I'm happy to have them in my life. I can't wait until we go to disneyland for christmas with them and see how much they love it. I'm sure I'll have more fun then they do but I'll take lots of pictures to show them so they know how much fun they had. 

7 months

The twins and I have made it 7 months (I guess I should include Evan too) . I alway write how much I love being a mom because it's true. This ride has been the best ride I have ever gotten on.   I think every mother loves being a mom. But when you have to wait so long and work so hard to get your children here you just have a different way of loving them. Also I was very lucky to have all my niece and nephews, that I got to watch them all the time, so I was never scared to have children of my own.  I'm just in love with my baby twins and I would never say this was hard or not worth everything I went through to get them here. Now I would say that at times it's not easy and at times I need a breath but I wouldn't change it for the world. Now that I told you all my hearts secrets I'll tell you about the twins.

• Chloe has been setting up for a couple of weeks now I'm loving it. Bentley can setting up too but he's still working at it. He likes being a baby and having mommy do everything for him. 
• Chloe is getting really close to crawling I'm sure by 8 months she'll be all over the place. She's a very busy baby and has places to go and people to see. 
• The last couple of days Bentley has been pretty sick throwing up everything and pooping everywhere. Chloe was so sweet and just played quietly with all her toys. She has been a sweetheart and now that poor thing is sick but she being so sweet about it. 
• They love food anything we give them they eat but Chloe LOVES real fruit popsicles the one with pineapple in them. 
• They are getting on a pretty good schedule but not the best because one will woke up and want to eat when the other one wants to stay asleep. 
• I think Bentley is getting a tooth but I've been thinking that for weeks now. I'm sure it well so up here real soon. I don't know about Chloe I guess we'll have to wait a see. 
• Chloe is doing better about her grandpa Lee she now lets him hold her but she's always looking for mommy. 
• They are starting to really interact with each other. But Chloe is always taking toys away from Bentley and picking on him but he doesn't seem to mind it to much. I think I have a long road of Chloe being mean to her brother. 
• But Chloe really loves her brother when Bentley was sick I tried to put her in her own crib and she cried for a hour and a half. So I finally just laid her next to Bentley she rolled over cuddled right up to him a fall asleep.  
• Bentley is starting to take a binky, Chloe HATES them she's mad every time I put one in her month but she still takes them right out of Bentleys month or any other babies month she can get her hands on. 
• Chloe has been a stinker about going to sleep she cries and cries and the minute I pick her up she's smiling and happy to see me. Bentley still sleeps like a chimp falls asleep really good and doesn't care that Chloe is scramming in his ear

Sorry this is a little late but I wrote this when they were 7 months old I just never posted it.

Baby Blessing

The babies blessing was a wonderful day. Evans family drove down from Idaho to see Evan give his first blessing. Evan did a good job. I'm not going to lie he was really nervous and was breathing heavy into the microphone. But I was really proud of Evan for actually go up and doing it. He didn't let his nerves get the best of him. It was really important to me that the twins had their father give them their baby blessing.  What a great blessing it is that Evan is worthy of the priesthood and can bless me and our children whenever it's needed. What a great day it was to have all our families together for such a happy occasion.

Daddy's Turn:

My little babies are turning 7 months old today so I thought I would write a little note to express how I feel about being a father. Being a dad is something I’ve looked forward to for a very long time and now I have 2 beautiful babies at the same time. I can still remember how nervous I was when I got the call from mommy that it was baby time. I was so excited and scared all at the same time. You were so little, mommy thought that because I didn't like holding other little babies that I would be nervous holding the two of you. No way I wanted to hold you in my arms so badly.

I was away working for most of the first couple of months of your life. So my time with you consisted only of the weekends, but it made getting through the week that much easier knowing that I got to come home to the two of you and your pretty mom.

Month 3 I finally got to be home to see your smiling faces every night. It was amazing. It was great to be able to come every night and hold one of you. You see that is one of the greatest things about having twins. I never have to fight with mommy to hold you. There is always a baby that needs some attention. I also got the pleasure of blessing the two of you. Now i’m not going to lie and say I went up there and gave the best blessing a dad has ever given his children. Because I was scared out of my mind. I did it though, but I thought i might pass out. While you will never be able to remember what I said to you I do hope you remember that I was the one who was able to bless you and no matter how scared I am I will do everything I can for the two of you.

Month 4 You two are starting to get so big. I sometimes still look at you two and am amazed that  you know that I’m your dad. It still seems odd to think of myself in that way. However you two are some of the cutest and happiest babies a dad could ask for. You always have a smile or a laugh that puts me in a good mood no matter how bad my day has been.

Month 5 I cant believe how big the two of you are getting. Bentley your still a bit on the shy side. But those that can find a way to make you laugh or smile get a rare treat. Chloe you love everybody. Your my little sweetheart. You two are very lucky that you get to have your wonderful mommy home with you everyday. I hope when you get older you will realize how much of a blessing it is to have her home with you every day.

Month 6 Your personalities are really starting to show these days. I can already tell that Chloe is going to be a very active baby. You cant even sit still while I feed you. You have to have some part of your body moving. I think its so cute right now but Im sure in a few more months iI'll wish you would just sit still for a moment.

 Bentley your still a bit shy like me but not as bad as when your were a baby. You are certainly a-lot more calm then your sister. Im hoping that as you two get older your sister can help you with being more outgoing and maybe just maybe you can get her to sit still for longer then a minute.

I hope the two of you know how much I love you. How much both of your parents love you and each other. I will always be there for you no matter what you do. I cant wait to see what you will turn out to be when you get a little older.

Cloth Diapers

Yep its true, Evan and I are doing cloth diapers. I know what your thinking I'm crazy or the twins have made me mad.  But really there not that bad. When I was pregnant Evan and I talked about them and he really wanted me to use them, but I told him if we have twins, I'm not cleaning all those cloth diapers. I also told my mom and dad we were thinking about them and they run out to Costco and got us a ton of diapers (you know cuz they had to do cloth diaper with most of their kids). And then for all my showers everyone give up diapers thinking we would need at lot. Which we do use a lot of diaper. So I didn't think much about them until we were at Costco a few weeks ago and they were selling them. So I thought it wouldn't hurt to try (plus there super cute). The diapers sold at Costco have this biodegradable liner you put in so if they poop you can just throw that part away.  So the more I used them the more I thought about the amount of diaper we are using in a day, then week, then month, and then year. 

• If I just use 6 diapers a day (which I'm closer to about 10 a day) I would use 42 diapers a week
• So if I use 42 diapers a week I would use about 180 a month
• And if I use 180 diapers a month I would use 2160 diapers a year. 

So I thought to myself that is a lot of diapers I'm just throwing into the landfills. I'm totally not one of those people who are crazy about saving the earth or anything but I do think it's important to keep the earth clean. I mean look at all the poor animals out there, and we are at fault.  Plus it saves us money, we buy a big box of diapers from Costco a month and sometimes more so it's close to $100 a month. So, I have a goal to use them for at least 3 months to get my moneys wroth and more. We figured we would use disposable diapers if we are out and about and if we have any babysitters. I'm hoping I can stick it out until they are potty trained, We'll have to wait and see.

6 months!!

I haven't gotten around to blog about the twins being 6 MONTHS!! I'm loving it. When I took them to their 6 month appointment my mother came to help out, at the time she was watching my little niece  Millie. She is a little over a two and super cute. When we got there Millie had found Bentleys binky and keep trying to gave it to him but the twins aren't very big binky fans so I told Millie he didn't want it so she just thought she could use it instead. The whole time she has been here she keeps finding one or more of the twins binkys even ones I thought I had lost. Thanks Millie for finding all the twins binkys. Anyway back to the twins doctor appointment. They are growing great, Chloe is 26in and 15 lb 6 oz. Bentley is 25 1/2in and 16 lb 7 oz. Yes Chloe is a little taller then Bentley and is gaining height. But the doctor said they look great. These are a few things they are up to now that they are 6 months

• Bentley is coming out of his little shell and is getting pretty smiley and friendly. 
• They both love bath time and splash everywhere I think I'm going to have to start bathing them in the big kids bath now.
• Chloe hates to sleep she sleeps really good at night and goes to bed at night just fine. But nap time is a fight. Their doctor told me to just put them in there crib and let them cry for up to an hour and Chloe can cry for the full hour and when we pick her up and she is smiling a away.  Bentley loves his sleeps and takes good naps and sleeps in every morning. Chloe can be crying in the same crib as bentley and he sleeps right through her screaming.
• They're really good eaters and love just about anything I give them. They don't really like peaches which I think is weird cuz peaches are so sweet and yummy. 
• Bentley now loves to grab at his feet and Chloe doesn't do it as much. 
• Chloe does not like her grandpa Lee for some reason she screams every time he holds her. One time she didn't even see that it was him holding her and with in minutes she was crying.
•  Bentley loves his cousin Meagan she can get him to smile every time she looks at him and he laughs at her a lot too. 
• Chloe knows she is cute. The other day I just had Chloe and we went to lunch with grandma and two of my nieces. Some people walked by us without stopping to talk to her (cuz when you have twins everyone I mean everyone wants to stop to talk and see the babies) she was smiling and getting ready for them to stop and when they didn't she looked at me and was like what just happened. 
• Chloe is rolling all over the place. Bentley rolls over every time I put him on he's belly he hates being on his belly which is funny cuz when he was first born he loved it and would fall asleep every time I would put them on their bellies. 
• They're getting closer and closer to sitting up and I can't wait for that day cuz I'm ready to stop carrying around their car sets everywhere we go so if they can sit up I don't feel I need to bring it everywhere. 
• They both are starting to blow lots of bubbles. Sometimes when Chloe is really mad she cries and then takes a breath to blow bubbles then cries and blows bubbles its hard not the laugh when she does that. 
• Bentley is a sweet heart and is very lovey. Chloe is not, she's pretty much a stinker, she's very busy and can't stop to love. 
• Whenever I hold both of them at the same time they just poke each other in the face and hold hands I love it. They really like each other. 
• They both love to grab at your face. Chloe will grab your lips and try to rip it off. Bentley just really likes to place his hands nicely on your face as to get you to look at him.
• They both love Jazmine still, Jazmine is starting to warm up to them and realizing that their spit up is good (to her) and she wants to lick it off their faces. But it's a little scary to her so if they move she's out of there. I'm sure in the next few months she is going to love them very much ( or the food they'll have in their hands) and follow them everywhere they go. 

I can't believe how much can change in just a months time. They are getting so big I love every minute of it. I love the age their in right now but at the same time I can't wait to see them learn new things and at the same time I want them to just be new borns. Its a really weird feeling to have and I'm sure all mothers feel the same!!!

The days of 47 parade!!!

Back in the day my family would get a hotel and stay in Salt Lake City the night before the parade, get up early and get a spot to watch the days of 47 parade.  We haven't done that in years, I mean I don't even remember doing that, I was so little the last time we went.  My wonderful mother thought it would be fun to start that up again. At first it was only going to be my little family, my sisters family, a few of my oldest brothers kids, and grandma and grandpa. Then before we know it, almost everyone was coming. So we headed up after church on Sunday. We stayed at the Marriot on west temple and 1st south. We had so much fun,

Temple square was really fun we talked to the sister missionaries and they showed us a really cute movie about the plan of families. In the movie the little girls name was Chloe, I always love when Chloe's name is used it makes me feel like we did good on her name.

And  of course went to the parade...

My dad of course had plans of his own and rode his bike home from the parade. He didn't even watch any of it. 

The twins were really tired so they slept through the first half of the parade

We ended up going to the parade pretty late we slept in and went to breakfast then walked down to the parade, so we missed my favorite part, which is when the prophet comes through.  All and all I had a really great time with my family, and like always the twins were really good!!!!!!

The park

A couple of weeks ago Evan and I thought it would be fun to go to the park with the babies and the dogs. The only problem was it was way windy that day so the babies didn't have very much fun.

This picture makes me laugh Bentley, like aways is making a funny face and Jazmine looks like she is being hung by her lash. 

Jazmine loved every minute of it. She looks mad cuz she hates that the babies go everywhere we go.

This picture is also pretty funny Bentley was mad because of all the wind in his face he couldn't open his eyes poor kid.  Chloe didn't care as much. 

Bentley just decided to go to sleep so the wind would stop bugging him.
