New photos!!

We finally found the time to get the twins 2 year old picture done. And I'm loving them but really who doesn't love a good picture of their very own kids. It was a lot of work getting them to even look at the camera but my oldest friend (she really is my very first friend I made as a child I don't remember a time in my life that she wasn't in it.) Jessie did a good job. The poor thing had to work for a good shot. And the first night we tried we got rained out so she had to work two nights in a row to get some good pictures. So thank you thank you thank you.

okay so when I look at this one it just makes me laugh it was one of those moments that we where trying to get them to be happy and smell the flowers but instead they just started picking them. 

I'm in love with these ones the one on the left is a moment that was caught in time. Bentley does this all the time to Chloe and then they giggle. The one on the right is great she's just dragging her elephant. 

Even though I look awful in this one I love that we are playing together and Bentleys little smile. 

This one was one of the first ones done I love it because Bentley just makes that face every time he sees someone new. Or hasn't seen someone in a few hours. He even does this to his dad when he gets home from work. Some days he'll talk about papa, (my dad) all day and then I'll take him to see his papa and he'll do this. 

We did a few in our home and I wasn't sure about it but I ended up loving them. 

I might even frame this one. It's a big deal cuz I didn't even get ready for this. 

Just two old people reading their favorite children books.

I wanted to get a few with the temple in the background. So I could put them up in their room and they end up being some of my favorite ones.

The apples of my eye

    When I was pregnant with the twins I totally thought I was prepared for what was coming.  I thought Im a pretty patient person I LOVE kids and all I wanted was to have a little family of my own. I helped my loving brothers with their twins which I have two brothers with twins. I thought really there is no other person more prepared then me. I also had a lot of my friends and family tell me if anyone could handle twins its you! (which thanks for the boost of confidence, it's now getting me no where.) People who had twins would tell me how hard it is to have twins and I always thought get over it how hard can it be. But I can now tell you there is NO preparing for twins. Don't get me wrong they are the apples of my eye. My whole world, I would be a mess with out them.

       But today was one of those days.......which it started out pretty good the twins only got in to the candy cabinet once this morning. Only played in one toilet while I was getting ready and only wasted one toilet paper roll. So I felt pretty good, went to the children's museum with a good friend and her son. they where good actually and you know for the most part I have good kids just two of them. Two of them with two different minds and different ways of getting into trouble to work together to get into more trouble. After the museum we went to lunch with our  besties and they did good they ate most of there lunch and were quiet. On the drive home I was able to keep them up all the way. So I thought I was having a really good day. I put them down for a nap and they were quietly laying in their beds. About 20 minutes later I heard laughter which is pretty normal. They always fall asleep after about 20 minutes of laughter. I decided to check on them for some reason which I never do if their awoke. They had climbed out of their cribs and Bentley had taken off his diaper and took a dump on the floor got it everywhere I mean EVERYWHERE in the carpet on the walls all over him and chloe. And the only reason Chloe hadn't done the same is cuz she was wearing a onies. Which she wears only because she has been taking off her diaper before her nap and then she pees and poos everywhere after her nap. So I cleaned them up put them back to bed and they got out again only to take a canyon to all the walls in their room (which I throw away canyons now anytime I see them so they most be hiding them), to take out all the wipes out of the bag, and to throw all there clothes out of the closet, out of the dirty clothes and out of the dresser. Then during dinner Bentley wanted nothing to do with it and only wanted the rolls. Chloe one the other hand was eating like the beast on beauty and the beast. ( I couldn't help but  to laugh at that) And getting food every while feeding the dogs most of her dinner. 

           Im now scared to put them down for a nap or ever leave their side not because I think they'll get hurt but because I don't want to clean off one more wall with canyon on it. or get poo out of a crib or off the floor or find them in the toilet or outside running in the streets with out shoes on in the snow. Which I'm sure a lot of your are thinking how are you away from them long enough for any of this to happen. It happens in a blink of an eye. I can't go to the bathroom with out being scared I can't get in the shower, make dinner, do the dishes, vacuum, I can't even make a grocery list with out something going wrong.

         But then after I went crazy for about an hour! Evan give them a bath. I went to see how things were going, they started to count for me, which they have never counted before. And everything went away, all the crazy inside of me left. My babies are learning, they can count to three, they now know most of their colors. And Bentley is talking up a storm. And now when we do night prays they fold their arms, close their eyes and bow their little heads. I love my monsters they're my monster and I wouldn't change it for anything but..... I would not wish twins on anyone. I have dreams of having just one. and maybe just one more. But If I had to chose between just having one more or twins again I would chose twins again. So they haven't scared me away from more children just not more children right now. 

       So to end on a happier note we went to the zoo on saturday with some of our best friends the hancocks. It was  so nice to get out of the house and enjoy the warmer weather for the few days it was here.

 I'm sure your now noticing Bentley is missing his glass that is cuz he hid them from me.

A letter to the twins

Dear Bentley and Chloe,

           Mommy wanted to write you guys a letter for your birthday,  I've missed a year of your life on this blog and I'm sorry. So I'll try and make up that year in this letter. You guys were both late bloomers on walking, Chloe you started walking at 14 months and you've pretty much been running ever since. Bentley your were even later then your sister, you started walking 16 months and waited a little while to start running but now that's your only speed.
         There is so many things I love about the two of you. Bentley you are the sweetest little boy and you love your sister so much. Chloe could be crying her head off cuz your playing with something she wants, all mommy has to do is ask you if you will give your toy to Chloe and you don't even think twice about it you just walk over to your sister and hand it over. Bentley your a lot like your dad, very easy going, shy, caring, lovable, and fun loving, I think that is why we click so well. Chloe if you want to you are the sweetest little girl but ONLY when you want to. Chloe you also love your brother very much. You just like having him around. You give the biggest cheesier to your mommy which brings the biggest smile to my face. Chloe you're mommies little helper if I tell brother to stop doing something you'll make sure he stops doing whatever he is doing. Just like the other day we were visiting grandma Roxane at the hospital and there was a garment bag that was on wheels and Bentley kept on pushing it into the bed and the walls so I told him to stop. Chloe followed brother around and made sure he stopped pushing it. It never really makes Bentley mad you guys usually end up laughing your heads off.
          Chloe started talking first but Bentley will say way more right now. But I'm pretty sure that is because Chloe, your really stubborn and won't do anything I ask you to do. The reason I think that is,  just yesterday you wanted your brother so you said Bentley as clear as I would say it.  Chloe your a lot like me. Out going, strong welled, stubborn, but one thing, that I'm not sure where you got this maybe your aunt Mendee, you're very clean. You clean up your messes and your brothers. You love to throw things away. It's the cutest thing to watch you empty out my diaper bag then put everything back in place and you make sure it's in the right place too. You also have to have all the doors shut. We went to your cousin Brynlee's school on Friday and I was trying my best to keep you guys quite and Chloe was going door to door shutting them, I'm sure all the teacher's were loving us.
          Bentley you love nursery its your favorite place to be. Sometimes I'll be in there subbing for one of the teachers and it'll take you like a half hour to notice me. It's way funny cuz when you notice I'm there you give me a face like oh hey mom fancy meeting you here. Bentley, you love playing with other children your age or any age really I think thats why you love nursery so much. You love love love playing with your cousins. You don't have to many your age but you try and keep up with all of them especially your boy cousins. Your a true boy you love cars and balls. Whenever i take you to the grocery store Ill get a car toy from the toy area and you'll play with it the whole time i'm shopping, you'll make the nosies and pretended to drive it around its so cute to watch you play. If i don't do that your sister will hand you all the groceries I put in the cart and you throw whatever you can get your little hands on. You almost broke a glass bottle of dressing at Target and everyone there gave us the look of death. You also bite all of the food so when i go to pay for it I have to tell the cashier that I still want the chewed up cheese.
            Bentley, you're one smart little boy. You know most of your animal nosies some of which I had no idea you even knew. Like the other week we were up in midway for thanksgiving and you saw a cow and you said moo moo which took me for a surprise. I didn't think you really knew what a cow was I knew if I asked what a cow said you'd say it but I didn't think you really knew what a cow looked like. You did that with a bear at the zoo a few weeks ago too.
           Chloe whenever it's just the two of us your the sweetest little thing. I always think man people that just have one baby have it so easy.  You just follow me around and do as I do. You help with laundry, dishes which is your favorite chore you love to hand me the dishes to put them away, help me clean up toys. You're funny cuz you like your cousins but not like your brother does if you had it your way you would just hang out with your grandma Jean all day long. You and your grandma have a very special bond I think it's cuz we have been living with our grandma and grandpa Eyre why'll we are building a house. Which I think you'll have for the rest of your life at least I hope (your special bond with grandma). You also very much love your grandpa Troy. When you see him you always want him to hold you and hug and love on you. But one of my favorite things about you is that your a mamas girl. I'm the only person that if I'm holding another child (besides your brother) you get upset with. I'm also pretty much the only person that can get you to stop crying if your hurt. Sometimes you'll go to daddy. You can start crying and stop crying like that. I usually know that you are faking it you just stop when you get what you want. You think I would know your faking it cuz your faking it but every time you cry it's a big cry. Your smart that way you get what you want.
             This year of your life has been so much fun having you guys around.  Like Halloween your father and I had so much fun showing you all the scary masks and scary ghosts. But one night I'm pretty sure we took it to far, during the day time we were scaring you guys you were laughing and scared at the same time so we didn't think much of it. Well we learned our lesson that night you guys were up all night, your father and I had no idea what to do cuz you guys NEVER do that you guys sleep so good and never wake up and if you do you just want a drink and go right back to sleep. So we finally put you guys in bed with us. Next time well try not to scare you so much. Also on Halloween night we had so much fun taking you guys trick or treating. You guys loved it and totally got it coco loved knocking on all the doors and bubba loved the candy.
             Bentley you love Winnie the Pooh, everyday all day long you would watch pooh if I let you. And you say pooh so cute it's like pooooh. Mama has had her ups and downs with you two. Like when I'm taking a shower it's as fast as I can go. There was a time that I thought all the doors were looked but you guys just took the child look off the door. I got out of the shower and it was quiet so I looked out the window and there you two where outside so I had to go out there in a towel and get you. Or you two love to help yourself's to the cereal which you would think I won't mind but you alway dump the WHOLE bag out. I'm don't going to lie I'm done cleaning cereal up and I'm done paying for several bags of cereal.
               Over the summer we spent a lot of time at cowabunga. You guys loved it there it was a lot of work for me to get you there and then being there was a ton of work but seeing your smiling faces made it worth it to me every time. Bubba would run off almost every time we were there cuz he loved the big slides so one time I let him go and the big splash came down and it scared you pretty good so you didn't try again. Chloe you were just a girl when we went you would just like to soak up the water and sun. But Bentley was busy he loved the slides and all the kids.
               Coco you love to watching Monsters Inc. I think your favorite character is boo you always laugh when she's on. Both of you have gotten out of your cribs Chloe has tried twice and both times scared you pretty bad. But Bentley you have gotten out plenty of times and your always so proud of yourself when you get out. One day got into Chloe's crib. I heard laughing in your room but I didn't want to go check on you cuz then you would want out. I finally did and the two of you where running back and forth in Chloes crib having the time of your life. I had to just laugh it was to cute.
             Chloe the last couple of weeks you have loved getting into bed with who ever is in bed. You cuddle right up and get under the covers daddy loves it! Bentley you started having nightmares a few months ago. I think its was because you missed your daddy, you really haven't had one since daddy has been home from Logan. In a few weeks you guys are going to be two years old I can't believe it. I'll miss having babies in my home but I'm looking forward to having toddlers. Mommy loves you more and more everyday. I can't imagine life without my monster.

Cowboy Salsa!!

My wonderful father got me this recipe for cowboy salsa and I wanted to remember it and share it I love it.

Cowboy Salsa

1 Can corn
1 can black eyed peas (drained and rinsed)
1 can black beans
3 avocados
small read onion
1/2 bunch cilantro
8 lg roma tomatoes
1 bottle bernstein garlic cheese italian dsg.

Mix and chill

The 1st Birthday!!!

The twins are ONE. I can't believe that I made it this long and it hasn't been as bad as I thought. But I will tell you that it is getting harder. They are into everything you could think of. Ones at one end of the house while the other is at the other end. Just yesterday Bentley fell down a few stairs at my brothers and he got pretty banged up :( Then Chloe has a pretty bad cold so they both wanted me and now they are to big to really hold and comfort at the same time. I'm learning how to take care of two babies but it's not easy. Everyone alway ask me if it's getting easier, NO no way is it getting easier it's ten times harder!! Now that they are mobile it's way harder to change diapers because the one that isn't getting it's diaper changed is getting into the diaper and the one that is getting a diaper change is trying to roll over and get to the diaper. They love getting into the wipes a throwing them everywhere Chloe also loves to eat them. They fight over every toy they have. And between to two of them they have a lot of toys!! They're way good and getting the toys EVERYWHERE!! If one is crying the other usually starts crying even if nothing is wrong, mostly it's Chloe that does that :) One will think of doing something naughty and as I'm stopping the one the other one starts to try it out. I can't do dishes they just pull all the dishes out of the dish washer. Same with laundry they just pull all the clothes out of the basket. I can't even go into the bathroom without one getting into the toilet. They can climb up stair so every morning it a race to change one of them before the other is upstair and into everything. I really could go on and on.  But I do get the rare moments when they play together and laugh at each or play pick-a-poo that makes having twins so much more wroth it. I love watching them interact with each other, and I can see how much they love each other.  Also they are always really good for me if I'm out they hardly ever cry.  So I'm still very much in love with my twins but now I get what everyone with twins are complaining about.

Now about their first birthday. We had their birthday party (more about that in a later post) after their birthday so the day of their birthday was very low key we just spent the day at home then went to dinner. We go them the chocolate molten cake from chili's. We took it home so they could blow out their candle and feed themselves. They loved it!!

Disneyland!!

We had so much fun in Disneyland. We stay at the Grand California it was so nice to be so close to the parks. The first night we were there we got tickets to the world of color and ate dinner at ariel. The world of color is worth seeing for sure. Chloe watched the hole show but Bentley got to tried and fell a sleep. The next day we got up early so we could do magic hours. It's was so worth it, we got on so many rides that morning. The babies loved them all.

    After we went on all the rides we could get on, in 2 hours. We went and had breakfast with the characters, Chloe wanted nothing to do with them. Bentley liked looking at them and sometimes would even try and touch them but did not what them to get to close. But they always have so much fun with all their cousin.

Then we went back and had a much needed nap. Later that night we went and ate at the Blu Bayou I love that place. It so fun and really good too, Bentley by the way loved pirates he would set up and look around and laugh. It's so much fun having kids to take to Disneyland.

Then we took to babies back to our room and put them down for the night and grandma stayed so we could get in some big kid rides. We had a blast hanging out with my 3 nephews and 1 niece that are 14 we got on splash mountain and just keep going around and around until the park closed. Poor Colby was so wet on our walk home. We were so tried the next morning, we have stayed out late on other trips to Disneyland but this is the first time I felt so old, I guess thats what kids do to you. The next day we spent with my brother and his wife and kids. We spent most of are day in California Adventure Land saw Aladdin, road Tower of Terror and lots of little kid rides as well. The next morning was new years eve so we thought we would sleep in and have room service for breakfast, I love room service. Then spent the day at both parks. That night we ate at Rain Forrest Cafe. The babies went down early that night they were so tried so we left them with my brother Trent and had a ton of fun with his wife and kids. We watch the world of color again that night but they had a spacial new years eve show. The next day was our last so we road all the ride we didn't get to ride. We had so much fun and can't wait until we go again. Hopefully we get to go with the Cornell's in 2013!!
