The days of 47 parade!!!

Back in the day my family would get a hotel and stay in Salt Lake City the night before the parade, get up early and get a spot to watch the days of 47 parade.  We haven't done that in years, I mean I don't even remember doing that, I was so little the last time we went.  My wonderful mother thought it would be fun to start that up again. At first it was only going to be my little family, my sisters family, a few of my oldest brothers kids, and grandma and grandpa. Then before we know it, almost everyone was coming. So we headed up after church on Sunday. We stayed at the Marriot on west temple and 1st south. We had so much fun,

we went swimming...

(grandma was trying to take pictures with grandpas camera)

(grandma got a hold of the camera again.)

went to temple square...

(Bentley and his worried faces it's so hard to get a cute picture out of that little boy)

Temple square was really fun we talked to the sister missionaries and they showed us a really cute movie about the plan of families. In the movie the little girls name was Chloe, I always love when Chloe's name is used it makes me feel like we did good on her name.

ate good food...

(this is really the salt palace)

And  of course went to the parade...

My dad of course had plans of his own and rode his bike home from the parade. He didn't even watch any of it.

The twins were really tired so they slept through the first half of the parade

We ended up going to the parade pretty late we slept in and went to breakfast then walked down to the parade, so we missed my favorite part, which is when the prophet comes through.  All and all I had a really great time with my family, and like always the twins were really good!!!!!!

The park

A couple of weeks ago Evan and I thought it would be fun to go to the park with the babies and the dogs. The only problem was it was way windy that day so the babies didn't have very much fun.

This picture makes me laugh Bentley, like aways is making a funny face and Jazmine looks like she is being hung by her lash.

Jazmine loved every minute of it. She looks mad cuz she hates that the babies go everywhere we go.

This picture is also pretty funny Bentley was mad because of all the wind in his face he couldn't open his eyes poor kid.  Chloe didn't care as much.

Bentley just decided to go to sleep so the wind would stop bugging him.

Silly Grandma

The other day I went to see Grandma Jean at work. We were headed to lunch with Mendee my sister. I was in the front talking to some friends, so my mom thought she would help me out by putting the babies in their car seats. When I came back to her office this is what I found. If you look closely Bentley is in his sisters car seat upside-down. Silly Grandma.

5 months!!

The twins are 5 months old today. They're growing so fast, I can't believe I have TWO babies and not newborns anymore. Having twin babies is a lot of fun. I love watching them grow up and interacting with each other.  Its been a lot of work but having Evan home from Logan has helped out. I now feel like a family.

They both can roll over but don't really care to.

*   They both are starting to laugh a lot during the day, but you really have to work for Bentleys laugh or even smile.

*  Chloe is really close to sitting up. Bentley isn't he's a little lazy.

*  They are eating about 6 oz a feeding.  Chloe eats more then Bentley but weighs less then him. We tried baby cereal again and I made some different baby foods. Bentley will eat it up but likes to put his hands in his month when he's eating and gets the food everywhere. Chloe wants nothing to do with it. She spits it out every time.

*  Both are still in 0-3 month clothing but can wear some 3-6 months.

*  They go to bed around 9:30 or 10 and sleep until 8:30 or 9. They go to bed so good we put them down in the same crib and they just look at each other and fall asleep. They still like to be wrap up in two blankets before going to bed (like a newborn). When they wake up they're still wrapped up. They're also sleeping in their own room.

*  When they wake up in the morning they talk to each other I love to listen to them. I always wait a few minutes before I go get them.

*  Bentley is shy like his dad, he will smile at people but then hide his face. If he has just woken up he gives a really worried look for the first 10-15 minutes at anyone that is talking to him. Chloe is a people person like her mother. She always has a big smile on her face. The other week when we were at church she was so happy to see all the people.

*  Chloe loves to lay on the floor or bed and grab at her feet.

*  Bentley loves getting ready for bed he laughs every time his getting out of his clothes. Im a little worried about that.

*  Bentley has a toy that hangs down over his head and loves it. When he lies under it he smiles at it and looks like he's counting them to make sure all his friends are there. He also grabs at it and tries to put them in his month.

*  Chloe likes to sit in her high chair and play with her toys she has a doggie that is hanging on a ring. She loves to put it on her arm like a purse.

*  Both love Jazmine (our big dog) when ever she comes around they stop whatever they are doing and just watch her. She doesn't feel the same for them. I think she would like them to go back to the hospital. They don't care to much about Logan (our little dog) and he feels about the same.

(watching Jazmine)

*  Chloe's nickname is coco or coco beans. Bentley doesn't really have one right now.

*  Grandma babysat the other day I was so worried that they would just cry the whole time. But they were so good and just went to bed.

*  Chloe poops all over her clothes almost every time she poops. Bentley has only done that once.

*  At their 4 month Bentley weighed almost 14lb. and Chloe weighed almost 13lb. Chloe was a little taller at 25in and Bentley was 24 1/2in.

*  They both are started to know if I'm in the room or don't.  Bentley really hates it when I leave the room. I can even be in the same room but if he can't see me he gets mad.  Some times other people will be holding Chloe and she will realize I'm not around and get really mad, but it takes her a minute before she realizes it.

I'm loving being a stay at home mommy. I'm even living in the moments and enjoying them. I'm so happy I get to watch them grow. I'm not going to lie there are times when I just want to cry with the twins, but then they do something and I remember how much it means to me that I have them in my life. I'm so grateful to Evan for working so hard so I can be home with my children all day. What a wonderful gift that is, thanks babe.

Settling In

I found a few pictures of the first few weeks of us settling in with the twins.

Evan and I both have nieces named Brynlee (or Brynli). This is their first time meeting the twins. I asked my little Brynlee if she would be like Chloe's older sister (Brynlee only has brothers) so she couldn't wait to meet them. She couldn't come to the hospital because of her age ( you have to be over 14 to come see any babies at the hospital.) Then her whole family got sick so she couldn't come until she was better. The twins were a little over a week old when she finally made it. She is so cute with them she would call me that first week just about everyday to see how they were doing.

The first day we brought them home they let us take a THREE hour nap. But that first night was tough Chloe wouldn't sleep unless one of us was holding her. Evan was working in Logan the first three mouths of the twins life. So that first night I remember thinking and crying how am I going to do this all alone. But we figured out it was the formula she was on, so we changed it, after that she did much better.

When dressing boy and girl twins its hard to find matching clothes. Evan found these cute ones at Old Navy. I loved them so we had to take a picture of them.

Easter

We spent Easter Sunday at Evan's parents, because we didn't go up to see them for Christmas, I was worried I would have the twins in Idaho. I really didn't want to have them with someone other then my doctor. So we promised them we would be up there for Easter. The twins were really good like always and even slept through the night. Then for a gift to me, Evan woke up and fed the twins so I could sleep in (what a great gift you have no idea it takes forever to feed my little monsters). Then I got up and we showed them their baskets, of course the twins really didn't care about them. But I have been looking forward to the holidays with the kids since Evan and I were married, so I had to get them a cute basket and lots of toys. Then Grandma Jean got them their cute Easter outfits.
